Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 28, 2026

DisputeDog ("DisputeDog," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at disputedog.org and provides software that helps restaurants identify and recover error charges from third-party delivery platforms such as DoorDash and Uber Eats. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have. By using DisputeDog, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide. When you book a demo, create an account, or contact us, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number (optional), restaurant or business name, role, and any messages you send us.
  • Delivery platform data. When you connect a DoorDash, Uber Eats, or similar account, we access payout reports, order history, charge details, and dispute records needed to identify recoverable charges and file disputes on your behalf. We do not request or store your bank account numbers, debit card numbers, or platform login passwords beyond what is required to maintain the session.
  • Usage and device data. When you visit our website or use the dashboard, we collect basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps. This is collected through standard server logs and privacy-preserving analytics.
  • Cookies. We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and to measure aggregate traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the dashboard may not work without them.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the DisputeDog service: review payout activity, flag potential error charges, file disputes, and track recoveries.
  • Communicate with you about your account, recoveries, invoices, product updates, and support requests.
  • Maintain, secure, debug, and improve the service.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your delivery platform data to train third-party machine learning models.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the service:

  • Delivery platforms. We submit dispute requests and supporting information to DoorDash, Uber Eats, and other platforms on your behalf.
  • Service providers. We use a limited set of vendors for hosting, databases, email, analytics, and payments. These providers can only use your information to deliver services to us.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of DisputeDog, our customers, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If DisputeDog is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to support recovery follow-up, invoicing, tax, and compliance needs. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted database storage, access controls, and least-privilege credentials for any platform sessions we maintain. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever discover a breach that affects your data, we will notify you as required by law.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can also disconnect any delivery platform account from your dashboard, which stops further data collection from that platform.

Children

DisputeDog is built for businesses and is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International users

DisputeDog is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, which may have different data protection rules than your country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. If changes are material, we will give you reasonable notice, for example by email or an in-product banner.
